Finally have some new photos to share. The picture of Craig with Chase was taken about 3 weeks ago, but the one with Kris is from last Sunday.
As you can see, he is growing like a little weed!

Just have to share this short story about my LOC Book Ornament, discussed and pictured in the article below. The evening before sending it to Deb Malewski, Craig and I visited his parents. I brought the book along to let them know that I had painted something representing our area of Ohio, and that it might be chosen to hang on the Christmas tree at the Library of Congress, in DC. They are so supportive of my art career, so I like to keep them informed. After I handed the book to my father-in-law, he proceeded to turn it every which way in an effort to open it! What a great compliment! Thanks, Dad! Love you!

Meet Chase Michael Soliday. This is the only photo I have until I get a roll of film developed. I'm thinking more and more about the advantages of adigital camera. Kris and family are doing well and getting used to each other.
Kris let me know that I can come down anytime I want. She's not used to being at home full time, so I think she's missing the outside world a little. Chase is such a good baby and is thriving in the little home they've made in Sidney, Ohio. Kris is blossoming as a Mom...it's a wonderful thing to see!

Here are the Henkener boys, Gage and Emmitt, posing for Mom. Gage is quite a character. He calls me Grandma H , so I call him Gage H.
He was here one time and accidently stepped off the side of our breezeway. He almost hurt himself, but declared that, "It put the fear of God in me!" I'm lucky to remembered that little ditty. We all need to write these things down!
We always hug and kiss goodbye, but I also tell him, "See ya later alligator" and he always comes back with, "After while crocodile!" He'll be three on October 29th. Emmitt just turned 3 months...what a little pistol!

Just a little note to let you all know that my daughter, Kris had her baby on Friday, Sept. 16, at 2:10 in the afternoon. Chase Michael weighed 6 lb, 11 oz. and is 19" long. He has blonde hair and big hazel eyes. I'll include a photo as soon as we get these developed. Mother and baby are doing well and are at home. Lance is taking two weeks off for bonding, so Kris will have some help. Thanks for all the well wishes sent via e-mail, especially the card sent by fellow artist & friend, Marilyn Doerter. That was especially sweet!

This photo was taken at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, Ohio, after our grandson, Emmitt's baptism. Left to right: Gage, Mike, George, Craig, and baby, Emmitt in front. Ages range from 79 to one month! Can you believe George is 79! He's very active, and after two open heart surgeries, is relatively healthy.

In order to give you a chance to know me better, here are a few photos of family. The first one is my husband, Craig and myself, of course. This was taken for our church directory about 3 years ago. Craig is an Engineering Coordinator for Honda of America, at the world's largest engine facility near Anna, Ohio. They make the famous Gold Wing Motorcycle engines as well as several models of Accord and Civic engines.

Mike is our youngest and is shown here with his great wife, Libby and their boy's, Gage (almost 3) and Emmitt (now, 4 months). This was taken at Emmitt's baptism. Libby runs her own company called Label Landscaping and Mike is an HVAC Tech for Fischer Plumbing and Heating of Delphos. They recently moved into a country home near Elida, Ohio.

Taken at Christmas 2004, this is our #1 daughter, Kris and husband Lance Soliday, who live in Sidney, Ohio. They both work for Honda of America Anna Engine Plant and own several rental properties. Lance is also a Real Estate Agent and Kris is a substitute teacher for the public high school. They are expecting their first baby any day, now! We believe it's a boy, but if not, lots of blue gifts will have to be exchanged for pink ones! I'll keep you posted...
